Annonce (1913) is Amsterdam’s name for the boldest wide style of a type series that originated at Wagner & Schmidt and was cast by many foundries under various names, incl. by L. Wagner as Edel-Grotesk fett and by C.E. Weber as Aurora-Grotesk breitfett.
Licensed to Letraset (as Annonce Grotesque) and Mecanorma (as Antique Annonce Bold Extended). Also carried by various phototype suppliers under this name, incl. PLINC (as Annonce Grotesque) and Typeshop.
